My work comes from a deep curiosity about the connections between people, places, and their inner worlds. I’m inspired by the natural world around me, and the powerful narratives of women I’ve encountered.
Through my reading, research and writing, I am seeking to capture the essence of what it means to navigate life’s journeys, especially from a female perspective.
My writing weaves together elements of personal experience, history, and imagination to give voice to stories that resonate on a deeper level, encouraging reflection on our own sense of place and purpose.
My Journey into Writing
I’ve always loved words and wordplay but never called myself ‘a writer’.
Returning home in the Autumn of 2023 to a house emptied of all my daughter needs to survive, I cried as if she had died. She lives however and so, I realise with great relief, do I. Delivering her to a new life at university felt like a major ending. But it was also a beginning.
I entered 2024 determined to find THE answer.
What, I asked earnestly, nervously, bravely, do I want?
It felt like the right time to take some risks and embarking on this new chapter under the title ‘writer’ is one of them.
These pages are a commitment to a lifelong passion for the written word and sharing my work.

Your love and incredible knowledge of the wealth of stories both told and waiting to be told; imagined, true, and anywhere in between; gives shelter, gives safety, asks questions, gives answers, opens doors to many places to go when things are hard.
We’ve shared plays, sonnets, songs, histories, geographies and so many literary landscapes.
They become part of the inter-woven web that is both our unique individual perspective on and our shared understanding of the world.
They connect us, as lovers of shared words, as linguists, and literary beings.
Because of books.
